I just finished reading the very popular novel, "The Help", by Kathryn Stockett. This is a deviation from my normal "suspense" type novels and I am very pleased that I gave it a try. The story is told in the first person by three different characters. The story is set in Mississippi in the 1960s and identifies some of the Civil Rights issues from that era. The three main characters, all women, start a secret "book" documenting interviews by some of the maids that provide cleaning and nanny-type services. This book is definitely worth reading and I can't wait to see the movie! (Review submitted by Barbara Land, Clymer Library Technician.)
