Taylor's Guide to Growing North America's Favorite Plants
by Barbara Ellis
It's that time of year when we head out to our gardens. If you are like me, you might be looking for that speciall flower that will make all the difference, or saw a plant, but can't recall it's name. This is the perfect reference book starting with Achillea and ending with Yucca. For each plant,Barbara Ellis provides a description through the seasons, how to select the plant, best site and soil, how to plant, how to care for each plant through the seasons, and suggestions for uses in the landscape. Each plant's name is indexed by both common and Latin name. I have spent hours perusing the over four hundred full-color photographs, and taking notes to assist me in my garden design and shopping. This is the "must-have" garden book for beginners as well as advanced gardeners.
